Glacier Way enrollment is open
Now taking registrations for the winter/spring 2025 semester
Glacier Way is now enrolling for the winter/spring semester 2025. Class begins on Monday, January 6 and runs until Friday, May 30.
This year we are running a combined 3s/4s class three days a week on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 AM to Noon. Next year (fall 2025) we may split the class in two depending on enrollment (e.g. 3-year-olds on Tues/Thurs mornings, 4-year-olds on Mon/Weds/Fri).
Children must be 3 years old by the first class of the current semester to begin preschool at Glacier Way. If your child turns 3 shortly after the start of the semester for which you’d like to enroll, feel free to contact us to discuss.
Children must be potty trained (if your child is close, but still in pull-ups, let’s talk). We know accidents are age-appropriate, and we have safe and supportive strategies in place to address them when they occur, in line with our licensing regulations. We’re happy to talk with families about a potty plan for their children.
Glacier Way Co-op Preschool is committed to diversity and inclusion. See our anti-discrimination policy here.
What is tuition?
Tuition for the winter/spring 2025 semester is $835.
The first $500 of tuition is due by Dec 27, with the remaining $335 due Jan 15. Families can make payments via check, Zelle, or PayPal (if using PayPal, please add 2.2% + $0.30 to cover processing fees).
Please note that there is a separate $75 fee for the initial registration.
Glacier Way will cover the cost ($64.50) for one caregiver to do a fingerprinting/background check. If families would like to have additional caregivers assist in the classroom, they will need to cover the cost on their own.
How to send money to Glacier Way
We can accept tuition payments, initial registration deposits, donations, and any other payments through the following means:
1) Zelle: we are registered as Glacier Way Cooperative Nursery, Inc. and you can look us up by our email info@glacierwaycoop.org. The QR code in this green box should lead you directly to our profile in your Zelle app.
Tip: Since Zelle payments are basically the same as directly sending cash, we suggest you send a small test amount ($5) and email us (same email as above) to confirm receipt before sending a larger amount.
2) Check: the old-fashioned paper kind. You can either mail it to our address, or drop it off in person during school hours. If mailing, please shoot us an email at info@glacierwaycoop.org so we can look out for it.
3) Paypal: we are registered as Glacier Way West Side Cooperative Preschool and our handle is @glacierwaycoop. This link should take you directly to our Paypal ‘donation’ page (for tuition payments as well as donations)..
Note: since we are non-profit school, if you choose to pay with Paypal, we ask you to please add on Paypal’s processing fees to the total, which are 2.2% plus $0.30.
How does the registration process work?
If you’re ready to save your child’s spot at Glacier Way, follow this link to submit a registration form and deposit through a secure third-party platform, Jovial. Here’s how the process works and what to expect.
Submit registration online through Jovial: you’ll provide basic information about you and your child, and pay the $75 registration fee online (see box above regarding “How to send money to Glacier Way”).
Await follow-up email: after submitting your registration, a Glacier Way member will follow up via email to confirm receipt and officially enroll your child in the upcoming semester. This follow-up email will include instructions for several next steps:
adding you to the class email list so you can receive updates and send messages to other families
signing up for classroom assist days
moving forward with the fingerprinting/background check process
After receiving this follow-up email, you’ll be able to log back into the Glacier Way family portal on Jovial using the email address you provided in your registration. There you’ll see several important forms that need to be completed and uploaded to Jovial before your child attends class.
What am I committing to as a parent/caregiver?
At least one parent/caregiver from each family must commit to helping in the classroom several times per month, as well as owning a small role to keep the school running smoothly.
Many of the parents and caregivers who help in the classroom have flexible weekday schedules (e.g. stay-at-home parent, flexible work-from-home hours, retired grandparent). Sometimes, parents with weekday jobs will get creative (e.g. use paid time off, or work an evening/night shift) so they can be present in the classroom on specific dates.
You’ll have the ability to request the specific dates you wish to assist in the classroom at the start of each semester so that you can plan your availability. Families use our email list to ask for switches or subs in case of unforeseen conflict or illness. Learn more on our parents’ experience page.
